Site / Landscape Designer

Element Design is looking for a Full-Time Site / Landscape Designer for our Lexington, KY office. We will consider designers with a minimum of 3 years experience working for a landscape architectural firm or department.  Under close supervision, this position will support the Senior Landscape Architects with the development of high-quality site design projects. The successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to learn from and work with a highly talented and experienced team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work as part of a team to support a wide variety of project types and scales.

  • Assist in developing and preparing construction drawings.

  • Assist in developing graphic communication of designs, such as sketches, plan renderings, and models as required.

  • Attend meetings and interact with consultants and clients as experience allows.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s and / or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Landscape Architecture or related field.

  • Licensure is preferred; on path working toward licensure is required.

  • Solid foundation of strong drafting skills and experience with construction drawings.

  • Proficiency with AutoCad and Adobe Creative Suite software required; experience with Revit a plus, but not required.

  • Experience with 3D modelling and rendering software such as Sketchup and Lumion is desired.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple tasks.

  • Willingness to perform a variety of activities as needed by the team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
