University of Kentucky Grehan Building Renovation
Lexington, KY
The Grehan Building was the former home of UK’s School of Journalism and Telecommunications. The building is undergoing significant interior renovation to accommodate new classroom and lab use; the exterior facade is undergoing repair work to maintain its historic integrity. A new circulation tower is being constructed to connect Grehan to McVey Hall and provide new interior circulation and elevator service and access to each floor. Site design scope includes a renovation of the existing, non-historic courtyard, development of new pedestrian circulation to the tower and preservation of the historic front lawn.
